Complaints policy

complaints policy for the proposed service

It is my duty to try to fulfil parents’ expectations, if it is within my capability, it is not against the law and not against the good of any child in my care.

However, if for any reason any parents/guardians have a complaint, they are welcome to discuss it with me first. I will give a verbal reply within 48 hours and if they have requested a written reply, I will give it in seven working days.

Also, they may contact the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) help line on 01786449063 for guidance.

At any point, the parents can directly contact the Care Inspectorate on enquiries@careinspectorate.gov.scot; or call them on 0345 600 9527.

As a childminder it is my duty to comply with Care Inspectorate investigations as appropriate.

As a member of SCMA I may seek their advice about any complaint, also I may seek advice from other relevant authorities.

This policy may change or be updated at any point depending on my service needs and if legislation is updated, it will also be reviewed at least once a year.
